|
The HIV Research Trust has decided to build on the success of the Scholarships by establishing an informal Association of Alumni of successful Scholars.
This means we can learn how to improve our Scholarships and adapt them for the changing needs of young investigators. The experience and future careers of the Scholars will help us guide future applicants and help the Trust in making decisions about funding that will lead to productive science and careers. We propose to keep in touch with our Scholars annually, to learn in what way the Scholarships have helped them and what improvements they might suggest. We should also like to learn of any publications that have resulted from the award.
We hope that successful Scholars will agree to become Alumni and help the careers of scientists working in resource-limited settings. We shall invite each scholar to join at the time when the award is made. |
