We are extremely sad to learn of Professor Mark Wainberg’s death. Mark was a great colleague and active Trustee. His contribution to HIV research, advocacy and his mentorship for so many young researchers across the globe has made genuine differences to so many lives. We will miss his tremendous support, input and encouragement.

Guidance Notes More Info More Info

A resource-limited setting is a country defined as low or lower-middle income. When considering if support can be granted, the HIV Research Trust uses information provided by the World Bank. If you do not specifically meet these criteria but are in a region of a country where research resources are limited and you feel that you meet the spirit of eligibility, then you may apply but additional information will be required in your application.

Our scholarhips are intended for researchers who are building their research career, for example, undertaking a PhD; a first or second post doc position; or other professionals in an early phase of their research career.
