will study for Master of Science in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Annet Nakaganda, Uganda
will attend a two-week course on the Responsible Conduct of International Research (RCIR) at the University of Washington (UW), and undertake a 6-week internship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC).

will learn genotyping and phenotyping techniques of HIV drug resistance detection at the Department of Infection and immunology, Clinical Research Center, Nagoya Medical Center, Nagoya, Japan  and National Institute of Infectious Diseases, AIDS research Center, Tokyo, Japan.
Daniel Bugembe Lule, Uganda
will visit IAVI Core Laboratory at Imperial College London, UK to learn the viral inhibition assay developed there for subsequent application to his research.
Deogratius Ssemwanga, Uganda
will visit the Division of Medical Virology Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine University of Cape Town to learn the Single Genome Amplification assay in order toanalyse further the dually/triply infected individuals and their singly infected partners.
Emmanuel Nshom, Cameroon
will visit the HIV Epidemiology and Biostatistics Group, Research Department of Infection & Population Health, Division of Population Health, University College London to obtain the required data-analysis skills to analyse the results from a research project to determine the best approach for providing optimal PMTCT regimens.
Evelyn Yayra Afua Bonney, Ghana
will visit the unit of HIV Biology and Variability, National Center for Microbiology, Instituto de Salud , Madrid, Spain to gain training on sequence analysis, interpretation of mutation data in relation to drug resistance, subtyping and drawing and interpretation of phylogenetic trees.

will visit Tazama Project, Tanzania and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to undertake the Advanced Epidemiology course.
Jessica Nakiyingi-Miiro, Uganda
will visit TAZAMA Project, National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) Mwanza to understand the research setting and data management within the TAZAMA Project.

will visit the GAP International Laboratory Branch Global AIDS Program, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, to learn techniques of genotyping related to drug resistance.

will visit theDepartment of Infection and Immunity, Clinical Research Center, Nagoya Medical Center, Japan to learn techniques of genortyping to be applied to HIV-1 Drug Resistance in Drug-Naïve and HAART Patients in Ghana.
Nicholas Musinguzi, Uganda
will visit the Department of Biostatistics, University of California San Francisco to study research methodologies to obtain training in statistical analysis, epidemiologic principles, and knowledge of the field of implementation science.
Pauline Byakika, Uganda
will visit the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Liverpool to receive training in current laboratory techniques and PK analytical methods to support pharmacology research in Uganda.

will visit the laboratory of Dr Florence Damond Laboratoire de Virologie Hôpital Bichat Claude Bernard to learn new molecular virology techniques to quantitate HIV-2 in patient samples.
Syed Hani Hassan Abidi, Pakistan
will visit Dr. Sarah Rowland-Jones’ laboratory, Human Immunology Unit, Experimental Medicine Division, Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford to learn in vitro assays to analyse the consequences of  mutations that alter immune response to HIV infection.
Thidarat Jupimai, Thailand  
will visit the Faculty of Health Science, The University of Sydney, Australia, to attend the course on Project Management at the Department of Health Information Management, this will allow her to develop her role as clinical trial coordinator.
Yarley Vladimir Pabón Martínez, Colombia
will visit the Unit for Molecular Cell Biology and Gene Therapy Science, Department of Laboratory Medicine, Clinical Research Center, Karolinska Institute to obtain training and experience on the manipulation and genetic modification of Human Stem Cells with vectors for delivering siRNA and miRNA against VIH gene targets.
Samuel Nyamweya, Gambia
will visit St George’s Hospital, University of London Centre for Infection, Division of Cellular and Molecular Medicine to receive research training in the UK, learning gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS), analytic techniques and mathematical modelling.
